You will need to reach Delhi on your own; from there, your journey will begin. We will provide airport pickup and transfer to your hotel in Delhi.
Welcome to Delhi! Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome and be transferred to your first accommodation. If you arrive before 3:00 AM, an extra night’s hotel stay is included. After a relaxing morning at your accommodation, you will meet the group around midday and begin the program. Should you arrive on a later flight, you will start the program immediately.
Today promises to be an exciting day, where you’ll experience the captivating charm of Old Delhi firsthand, enjoying authentic encounters and vibrant impressions. Your comfortable Vehicle will take you to the Jama Masjid, perched slightly above the old city. Here, you’ll gain your first glimpse of the sublime beauty and majestic splendor of many of India’s sacred buildings during your visit to the Jama Masjid . Afterward, you’ll explore the narrow lanes on foot , listening intently to the stories and background of the capital city shared by your guide. The deeper you venture into the labyrinth of alleyways , the fewer tourists you’ll encounter, making your stay in Old Delhi truly special. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and encounter women in colorful saris, buzzing motorized rickshaws, and state-of-the-art electric vehicles. After this walk, you’ll board a bicycle rickshaw and continue your exploration to the impressive Red Fort , which you’ll view from the outside. Its magnificent architecture, historical significance, and cultural diversity make this impressive historical landmark world-famous. Upon arriving in the government district , you will stop at India Gate and the Mahatma Gandhi statue , where your guide will explain the history and significance of these monuments. The streets have transformed into wide boulevards, so much of the charm and sense of mystery hidden in the old city remains.
On your journey, you will encounter various religions, such as Hinduism and Islam, in many different ways. Sikhism is also a significant religion in India. To learn more about this religion, you will visit the traditional Sikh temple Shri Bangla Sahib . Upon entering such a temple, it is customary to participate in some of the rituals of the worshippers, such as covering your head and washing your hands and feet. You will first enter a courtyard and then the inner temple area, which you can easily find by listening to the spiritual chants. Take your time to absorb the atmosphere, the spirituality, and the chants. Afterward, your guide will show you a huge dining hall in an adjacent building, where all worshippers and visitors are warmly welcomed and invited to a cold or hot meal.
